We are quoting a single verse of the Bible. As such, it is not the complete Shema.

Shemastone (SHRSBTE1) |
| |
|
| |
The stones do not attempt to depict the entire Shema. However, the engraving is the core of God's command. This is why each Synoptic Gospel quotes or paraphrases some portion of Deuteronomy 6:5. The references are Matthew 22:37, Mark 12:30 and Luke 10:27. |

Shemastone (SHRSOTE1)
Also available is a Shemastone which has "You shall love the Lord your God" instead of "Love the Lord your God" on the English side of the stone. The construction of the Hebrew in Dt. 6:5 is properly translated "You must love" or "You shall love" or simply, "Love."

|
| |
Please note that there are not any "Hebrew-only" Shemastones.
There are not any "English-only" Shemastones. Every Shemastone is deeply engraved on both
sides (English on one side, Hebrew on the other side).
